Cardinal Óscar Rodríguez Maradiaga was granted an honorary award from the Viktor Frankl Foundation for his work in psychology.
Cardinal Rodríguez Maradiaga is the archbishop of Tegucigalpa, Honduras, and the president of Caritas Internationalis.
The Vienna-based Viktor Frankl Foundation promotes a humanistic approach to psychotherapy. The award recognizes the life’s work of Cardinal Rodríguez Maradiaga.
Cardinal Rodríguez Maradiaga completed studies in clinical psychology and psychotherapy at Leopold Franz University, Innsbruck, Austria. He also has doctorates in moral theology from the Pontifical Lateran University, in philosophy from the Institute Don Rua in El Salvador, and in theology from the Salesian Pontifical University.

The transfer of the minister of Security, Alvaro Romero as ambassador in Costa Rica is one of the unexpected changes in the government cabinet as of next week.
In addition to the separation of Romero, also the appointment of the ex- president of Elsa Palaou as the new Secretary of Health was announced.
The changes where announced on a press conference given by the secretary of the president, Raul Valladares and the new minister of Presidency, Enrique Flores Lanza.
The Minister of Security will be governed by the present vice-minister, Jorge Alberto Rodas Gamero.

San Pedro Sula. The session of the Supreme Court of Justice concluded where 14 magistrates voted to the favor of the president of the National Congress, Roberto Micheletti with only one vote against. Micheletti will now be able to participate in the next electoral debate.
When interviewed by journalists Micheletti said he had faith in the result that was obtained on this day where he only ha done vote against. He also said he will start working on his political campaign as soon as he is able too by law.

Honduran President Manuel Zelaya used a speech about press freedom at the Inter American Press Association’s (IAPA) annual meeting Monday to blast his nation’s news media as biased towards its other business interests — touching off a barely polite shouting match with several questioners.
Clearly, some in the group attending the luncheon for Zelaya were angry at the president even before he made his remarks, because he had just returned from a friendly visit with Fidel Castro. And IAPA, in a report to be formally released Tuesday, has condemned Zelaya for making “threats” to “intimidate” news organizations.
