The investigative commission formed by the Airbus manufacturing company from France, the Federal Aviation Administration Office from the United States, aeronautic authorities from El Salvador, Operation Technicians from Honduras and the Central American Corporation for Air Navigation Services (Cocesna) have concluded that Taca’s Flight 390 pilot Cesare D’antony tried to land in the middle of the track and when he realized this he turned the engines off.

According to the first investigations done by the experts the pilot decided to turn all the engines off when he realized they weren’t able to lift the aircraft again which is what helped that the aircraft did not catch fire at the time of impact and cause an even bigger catastrophe.

TEGUCIGALPA.- retiring the remains of the Airbus-320 that crash Friday may 30th at the Toncontin airport in Tegucigalpa can take up to 45 days according to the director of the General Civil Aeronautics in Honduras, Guillermo Seaman in a press conference given at the Presidential palace by the sub-secretary of Foreign Affairs and Seaman.

The investigations taking place by different entities at the site of the accident might be able to finish before the end of the week which is the reason why they are waiting for the results.

Tegucigalpa, May 30.- An airplane from TACA Airlines arriving from El Salvador crashed when landing at the Tegucigalpa airport.

At least four people died today, among them, the president of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE), Harry Brautigam, the pilot and copilot of the aircraft and over 60 people where injured according to official information.

The death of Brautigam of Nicaragua nationality was confirmed by sources from the Hospital Escuela and BCIE in Tegucigalpa.

The pilot was identified as Cesar D’Antonio and the copilot, Juan Artero. The fourth victim has not yet been identified.

Massive outcry over ‘starving dog’ artist

DOG WORLD has been inundated with emails, letters and phone calls of protest about the so-called artist who allegedly starved a dog as part of an exhibition in Nicaragua last year.

It has been reported that Guillermo Vargas chained the dog – who certainly appeared in photographs to be emaciated – in the corner of gallery until it died.
However, the gallery’s owner has since said that the animal was only chained for three hours, was fed regularly and eventually ran away.
Nevertheless, there was an outcry when it was suggested that Vargas was planning a similar ‘installation’ this year and possibly next.
