Foxborough, MA (Sports Network) - The New England Revolution announced on Monday that the club has signed Honduran midfielder Mauricio Castro to a Major League Soccer contract to play for the Revs. He will occupy one of the team’s eight international spots on the roster. Per MLS and club policy, terms of the deal were not released.
“We’re pleased we were able to acquire Mauricio,” Revolution Director of Soccer Michael Burns said. “We believe his abilities complement our current roster and allows us added flexibility with the lineup this season. We’re looking forward to Mauricio joining the club.”

The two Central American squads met in a friendly match at Dolphin Stadium Sunday, February 17. Honduras won 1 - 0. Los Tigres del Norte canceled their scheduled post-game concert due to heavy rain.

The real cost per gallon of the superior gasoline will be ninety lempira’s during the next few days, when the government stops subsiding this fuel completely as part of a “Measure Package” to reduce the government cost. Meanwhile, the gallon of diesel will reach an approximate of 80 lempira’s taking into count the current price of the barrel in the international market.
An option is to exert control in the service stations so that vehicles with rental plates and public transport can be subsided in the diesel consumption and so motorists in particular luxury vehicles pay the real price.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) recommended to devaluate the lempira’s anywhere from 5 to 6 percent, the government has at least three other options to convince this international organism that this measure is not necessary to restrain the devaluation and control the difference in the trade balance that also causes the diminution of the international reserves.
According to the minister of the presidency, Enrique Flores, the devaluation is a process Honduras has already passed, using it as a development instrument and the results have been obvious since there were no benefits in spite of the sacrifice of the population.
