The new manager of Hondutel, Jorge Rosa will start doing intense audits starting this Monday by orders from the President of the Republic, Manuel Zelaya.
The president confirmed the designation of the minister of Commerce and Industries Jorge Rosa as the temporary manager of Hondutel, he also announced that in January 2008 he will name the official manager that will lead the telecommunication company until the end of his administration.
The functions of the previous manager Marcelo Chimirri officially ended on December 1st and the responsibilities will be transferred to the temporary manager for the stage of transition, cleaning and audit that are very necessary at this point.
Jorge Rosa must perform an audit. In the month of December because as of January the new ministers and new work equipment will start in the States institutions, as well as the new Hondutel Manager with the restructuring of the government.
Zelaya Rosales said, he wants to maintain the name of the definitive manager secret to avoid questioning of his appointment, until it is confirmed and they have the audit that will be presented to him.
He then added that a private company and the TSC (Tribunal Superior de Cuentas) will be in charge of the audit.
