1 million lempira for deported immigrants

The Attention Center for Deported Immigrants (CAMR) will now count with 1 million lempira that have been transferred to the Deported Hondurans Fund that was approved by the Congress recently.

The fund has the amount of 15 million lempira, but some of these resources will be invested in the repatriation of Hondurans that die outside the country, people who are amputated, and people with serious illnesses, children that are victims of prostitution, drug traffic and illegal immigrants.

The CAMR spends about two million of lempira each year by taking care of the deported immigrants from the United States, offering them food, coffee and transportation to their places of origin around the country.

Request for USA Visa will now cost $131

The American State Department announced in an official notice to the consular section that the price for visa request to enter the United States will increase from 100 to 131 dollars starting on January 1st worldwide.

The increase for the cost of the document is due to changes that the State Department has made changes in its security systems and implemented modern systems of control for visa emissions confirmed the United States consulate.

The changes give as a result that the payment of 100 dollars for the visa request is very low in reference to the increase in its costs and inflation.
It has been determined an increase of 31 dollars worldwide starting January 01 of 2008.

Mayor from Olancho killed

The mayor for Esquipulas del Norte, Olancho, Santos Sebastian Montoya and his bodyguard where intercepted by unknown men and shot to death.

The double crime took place this past Saturday around 2 in the afternoon on the town of Jano near Esquipulas del Norte in the sector know as The Crosses when the now deceased was driving his car alongside his bodyguard.

The family of Montoya manifested they his crime has political motives since he because of his leadership was an obstacle for many people.

Micheletti will run for President

San Pedro Sula. The session of the Supreme Court of Justice concluded where 14 magistrates voted to the favor of the president of the National Congress, Roberto Micheletti with only one vote against. Micheletti will now be able to participate in the next electoral debate.

When interviewed by journalists Micheletti said he had faith in the result that was obtained on this day where he only ha done vote against. He also said he will start working on his political campaign as soon as he is able too by law.
